SSH Supports Homes For Our Troops

Uncle Sam - Thursday, August 30, 2018

Thuy Beinert and Shari Oliver-Watkins, Realtors at Stars & Stripes Homes, Inc. supported the recent golf tournament in Elbert County honoring military veterans who have served our country. The golf tournament supported the Ambassador for Homes For Our Troops. Was a great day yesterday at the golf course!  Shari and Thuy gave out the golf balls and ball markers to every team and raffled a golf bag.

The players were super supportive and appreciative for everyone's support and sponsorship of Hole 10 (one of the hardest holes). Thuy Beinert and her husband were part of the team that had the Ambassador for Homes For Our Troops that started the charity tournament in their name. Army veterans who were double amputees from the war in Afghanistan were honored to be a part of this tournament with them.

Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post – 9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.
